Tuesday night started off as a normal night. I was hanging out with a group of friends, about to go swimming when I got a call that Pres. Brown wanted to meet with me ASAP. I had absolutely no idea what this could be about, so I was pretty nervous as I drove to the stake center to meet with him. Well, turns out I had no reason to be worried because I got called to be on the seminary council for my senior year! I've always thought it would be fun to be on sem council, but you don't run for it or anything, the teachers/stake presidents pray about it and decide. Only 8 kids are on it, so I figured my chances were slim and never gave a whole lot of thought to it. I am so excited. I think this is the reason I didn't make student council. Heavenly Father really does have a bigger plan than we know, have a little faith! Today after stake conference I got set apart and received the most amazing blessing. I'm finally really looking forward to my senior year.
I went to the temple Wednesday after I got called and did baptisms. I read Women of Courage (definitely recommend reading this) on the lawn after and was feeling pretty inspired. I love the temple.
