Last Tuesday was the best day of the whole year. Yep that's right, it was my birthday. I had big plans for my big day and was pretty distraught when I woke up with the flu. I honestly have the WORST luck in the world with getting sick (every major holiday and vacation, and now my birthday?? sheesh). I went back to bed in tears and luckily got some sleep. When I awoke a few hours later I wasn't feeling 100%, but I was a lot better, so I had a choice to make:
A. I could celebrate the rest of the day and skip out on my morning plans or,
B. I could stay in bed and celebrate on Wednesday.
Neither of these sounded good enough for my birthday so I chose C. I got out of bed, got ready, and had my awesome birthday breakfast. I was not about to miss out on any part of my birthday. Then I picked up my besties for lunch and headed to Cafe Rio. I had seminary third period and got sung to, a treat, and a grandma hug from our stand-in seminary grandma, Sister Jordan. That night I went out to dinner at Cracker Barrel with the fam, and got free dessert! The Trinity came over after dinner for presents and the best dessert ever! When all of the fam left the Trinity dressed up like men (surprise, surprise. Who knows why this seems to be our favorite passtime) and had a night out on the town! Best birthday ever (yes I'm choosing to block out the first few hours).

Those might be your best man costumes yet. And have you noticed Tay's face in the background of the birthday cake shot? It's fantastic.

I'm so glad your birthday turned out okay. Sad that you got sick though. I can't believe that my amazing baby sister is 17 though! Crazy crazy!
