Simply Happy: The Great Outdoors

I got to spend this past week in the great outdoors camping on Cedar Mountain for Girls Camp! This was my 6th year so I was a YCL. This meant I got to help plan camp and went to camp a day early to set up and get things ready for the wards. Can I just say that I love girls camp?! I love being outdoors and even though not everyone feels this way, I think girls camp is just so much fun. This year our stake theme was Angels Among Us and our ward theme was Angels in Action: On the Lord's Errand. Because of this theme, we used all of the money we usually spend on crafts and our blow up slide/rock climbing wall on service projects. I don't think we could have made a better choice. We worked on projects all week for the Dove Center, the Erin Kimball Foundation, the Family Justice Center, and for refugees in the state of Utah. It felt so good to be able to do so much for other people and we accomplished a TON. My mom is the stake YW pres so she was up there with me and I'm so glad. I love her and her counselors and spent a lot of the time hanging out with them! I could write forever about camp, but don't worry I'm not going to, I'm just going to document a few of my favorite things.

I love my ward so much. The whole stake presidency and most of the stake camp leaders are from our ward so it was like a big ward party. Most of my leaders have come every single year I have and I love them all so much! I also became really close to all of the girls this year and I love them all even more!
