Happy Days

The past two weeks of my life have seriously flown by. They've been filled with so many exciting things, I've wanted to blog almost every day, but have been SO busy it just did not happen. So here it goes, sorry this might get pretty lengthy!

April 5: Oh, just my 18th birthday. I had to go to school early for a seminary council meeting. so I brought homemade cinnamon rolls to start the celebrating out right :) The Trinity went to Wingers for lunch and shared some delicious food and FREE dessert. Tay and Bri gave me the best birthday present ever! I have the best best friends. After school I headed to Provo with Ma and Pa. We ate a lovely birthday dinner at Pizza Factory and ordered my Senior Ball dress from Alaska

April 6-9: We spent Easter weekend in Boise with Kenny and his family and all of our family that lives there. I never knew Idaho had a town that big. We did some shopping, went to Boise State, colored Easter Eggs, roasted smores, and got to spend lots of quality time with our family. It was a fantastic weekend!

April 10: I received a partial scholarship from BYU! Hallelujah. I'm feeling pretty proud of myself right about now.

April 12: Region Sterling Scholar Competition A.K.A. The Hunger Games. This was one anxiety filled day if I ever had one, seriously I think I know how Katniss felt, or at least close. I was up against 12 other scholars (tributes) who were seriously tough competition. I don't think my heart has ever beat as hard as it did while my category was standing on stage waiting to hear the winner announced. When my bio was read I was seriously a few beats shy of a heart attack. It was honestly one of the best feelings I've ever had.

April 14: Senior Ball. This day was top notch. Tayler and I were in the same group so the day was bound to be good. We started off the day at the Rugby game. The cute moms in our group set us up a tent and decorated it all darling. They fed us way too much food that was way too delicious, we played frisbee in the rain, and blew bubbles that covered the entire field. That night we had a lovely dinner at Entrada before we headed out to the Cotton Town Barn to dance the night away. If you know me, you know I'm obsessed with barn weddings, so I about died and went to heaven when I saw our barn dance. Cutest thing ever. The whole week at school was dedicated to the seniors and I cried my eyes out at both of the assemblies. The dance was seriously the icing on the cake. I love my class of 2012. After the dance, we snuck back into Entrada (hopped a few fences, scraped a few knees, sprained a few ankles, the usual) and went hot tubbing. Despite the fact that it was pouring rain the entire day and I am now sicker than a dog, it was totally worth it. Thanks to Will Durante, my hott date.
