Going into my senior year I promised myself I would get as involved with as many things as I could. I was determined to make lots of memories and make my last year in high school a dang good one. Well, I was successful. I have done things this year I never though I would and despite being busier than ever, I have loved every minute of it! My latest adventure was the Miss St. George Pageant. I've never done a pageant before and was a little apprehensive, but I figured it was one of those things you just have to do once. My amazing Mother made me a BEAUTIFUL dress that made it all worth it, anyway. I performed my violin, danced, walked in my gorgeous dress, and was interviewed in front of a whole bunch of people. It was pretty intimidating. All of the girls in the pageant were AMAZING and most had done pageants before so even though I felt pretty good about my performances (minus my train wreck of a violin solo), I wasn't really expecting I'd win anything. I was okay with that, though, because I seriously loved every single girl. They were nothing like the bratty pageant girls on TV! Thank goodness. Anyway, after standing on stage for what felt like an eternity, the royalty was announced. AND... I was announced as 2nd Attendant! Now I get to do all kinds of fun things and be in lots of parades. I'm so grateful for all of the opportunities I've had this year. Graduation will definitely be bittersweet, but I know there will be lots of new adventures to come.
