I love college.

Just a fair warning before you committ to reading this post, it will probably be a whole bunch of nothing.

I seriously love college. Living on my own in Provo feels like the most natural thing in the world and was a much easier adjustment than I was anticipating. I finished my first class at BYU--Hallelujah! It was environmental humanities and was really interesting. I met some amazing people and really got a feel for what my life is going to be like when real classes start. Late Summer Honors was definitely a good choice. Oh, and if you're ever looking for a good date idea around BYU definitely go on the tree tour. HaHa.
I couldn't ask for a better group of friends. We do all kinds of fun stuff like beach volleyball, motorcycle rides, softball games, eat fro yo, watch movies, play shuffleboard, and whatever else we feel like. I've never been one to stay up that, though, and it's taking its toll on me.
Today I went to orientation for my major (communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism). I could not be more pumped. I get really excited about school sometimes. I know, I'm a nerd. This was one of those days. My adrenaline was definitely pumping when I was in the newsroom imagining myself reporting on the BYU 12 o'clock news. I just got goosebumps. Someday you will see my on the real news, you just wait.
I love the BYU campus. I've become a lot better acquainted with it this week and get excited every time I pass the JFSB (my LHS home) or the Brimhall (my comms building). Everyone at BYU is super friendly and it makes my day. Every morning when I'd walk to LSH at least one person (okay it was always boys, probably RM's) would tell me good morning. I've been realizing how much little things like that can really make a person's day and I've been trying to do the same.
I'm becoming a clean freak. I wash the dishes/clean my room at least 5 times a day. Who am I?
This post may seem totally pointless to every other person beside myself, but I want to remember this time in my life for good reason.
If you're still reading, here's a little something to live by I stumbled across in the Brimhall today,
"If you avoid difficult things, great things will avoid you."
Definitely something to live by.
I'll ramble again later, don't you worry.
