-Last night was possibly my favorite night since I've been here. My friends and I got all dolled up and went to the Victoria and Albert Museum for their Hollywood Costume Party. It was just as great as it sounds, maybe better. The museum is absolutely gorgeous for one thing and it was so fun to be there with everyone dressed up as their favorite movie characters or Hollywood glam. There was music, dancing, a red carpet, shows, flash mobs, and more. A few of my favorite parts were seeing a flash mob perform the dance from Dirty Dancing, spotting stars like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, Cruella Devil, Sherlock Holmes, and Mary Poppins, and making a pin with Ryan Gosling's head on Marilyn Monroe's body. The night got even better when Haley, Erin, and I finally watched the first episode of the Bachelor on the landing of the stairs at one in the morning.
-Today: x.I found my favorite spot in the London Centre--the giant bay window in our classroom. After sleeping in, I got comfortable in the bay window and wrote in my journal while listening in Iron and Wine and looking out over the beautiful Palace Court. x.I finally rode the tube alone. I had to transfer lines and I didn't even get lost or mugged or anything. I was pretty proud of myself. x. A repairman came to fix my computer (hallelujah). I'll apologize in advanced, this story probably isn't going to be funny to anyone else but it was so funny to me so I'm writing it anyway. After rushing home and running from the tube stop to the Centre, he showed up almost 2 hours late. When he finally got here Jonah reminded me we're not aloud to let people into the Centre. Jonah stalled him at the door for me while Carlie and I raced to Dr. Christenson's flat to see if we could let him in. He told us if he looked like a murderer he wouldn't (hahah). Dr. C approved and the poor guy finally got to come in. By this time there were about five more students gathered around watching the commotion. For some reason everyone was really excited we had a "visitor". The whole situation was so awkward and I was doing all I could not to laugh. When I finally sat down with him to diagnose my computer this was our conversation. Him: "So what is this place??" I explained it to him and ended with "it's pretty exciting". Him: "not exactly how I'd describe it..."
hahah. I love living with everyone here. We're just a big, awkward, hodge podge Mormon family.
-Emails from my family are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't even explain how exciting seeing one of their names pop up in my inbox. When there's pictures attached it's like Christmas. Seriously. I even asked my mom to send my pictures of my dog because I'm a nerd.
I was going to upload a lot of really great pictures but it was taking about a million years. I promise I will post pictures as soon as my computer is fixed!
much love,
k

Okay I love the Hollywood pic. But you know what it reminds me of? You will definitely appreciate this lol...Tower of Terror! Remember the time me, you, mom, and dad rode that at least 10 times right in a row. Anyways, that pic reminds me of that lol. But sounds like fun. I bet you were excited to watch the first episode of Bachelor!! What did you think?? Wedding dress girl? Kaycie B.?? All the crazies?? Don't worry...it gets even better. Episode 3 is awesome and full of drama lol!!!
Oh my gosh there are so many crazies on the bachelor!! I can't wait to watch the other episodes. You are so right this picture totally reminds me of the tower of terror!! That trip was so fun!
