Party Rock.

This New Year's Eve was probably one of my favorite ever if not my favorite.
It started with decorating our living room/kitchen with Deseret Book Clearance Sale balloons and random party decorations we've had for at least 10 years. I was downstairs when my family started decorating and I heard my 4 year old nephew scream PARTY ROCK! I think that's when I knew it was going to be a great night. When the main floor of our house was thoroughly decorated it was time to have an appetizer dinner. At this point, we were all in heaven. When dinner is that good it's kind of impossible not to over eat.
We compensated by having a dance party.  To give you a (comical) visual, we danced to songs such as Gangnam Style, Shake Your Booty, and The Macarena. We even did a Conga Line around the house. Any neighbors who could see us through the front window probably think we're even crazier than usual since they wouldn't have been able to see the kids.
After our dance party we set off a few Roman Candles, popped poppers, opened a bottle of sparkling cider and counted down the new year! This was at about 7:30 so the little ones could get to bed.
The adults still had a few hours to go.
We roasted S'mores in our firepit, when on a wild goose chase around town to find the movie New Years Eve (apparently a popular movie to Red Box on NYE), and watched Ryan Seacrest for as long as we could handle.
After we counted down the New Year for the second time we all went to bed.
Pretty exciting, right?
I thought so.
I love love love my family and couldn't have asked for a better night! 2013 is going to be a pretty crazy year for me and I'm so grateful for their love and support.
Here's to making resolutions we probably won't keep!
