So it's March, I only have a month left in England, and I've been a terrible blogger. Shoot. On the bright side, I haven't missed a day in my journal! I'll post pictures here instead since that's the best part of a blog post anyway. I do have one disclaimer though--I'm only posting pictures of a few of my bigger adventures. I wish I could show and tell you about everything but this will have to do for now!
We had a Variety show and it was probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. Seriously I've never laughed so hard. It was especially good because we've been living together for a few months so we know each other real well and have lots of inside jokes together.
Last Saturday we had the opportunity to go to the temple with the YSA ward. We got to eat in the cafeteria and I sat by a picture of the St. George temple and felt right at home. We had a few hours before we were scheduled to do baptisms so we did a quick (it was freezing) photo shoot and watched every movie the Visitors Center had to offer. The spirit came over me so strong when we were watching the super cheesy short video about families. I was bawling and could not get myself together. It didn't help that we watched the Joseph Smith movie after. I also got to talk to a sister missionary serving there who was from Utah! Doing baptisms there was a lot different than it is in Utah but the Spirit was there so strong. I am so grateful for the temple.
After baptisms Emma braided all of our hair. I don't know whats up with groups of Mormon girls feeling the need to have braided hair but I like it.
This Saturday after touring the Houses of Parliament (that were absolutely incredible) we took a river cruise to Greenwich and loved it
In Greenwich Erin and I failed at captaining a ship (we crashed into a cruise liner), made a pirate video for my nephew's birthday, practiced our morse code, and got the best churro either of us had ever had from a cute street market
We also straddled to Prime Meridian and were in the Eastern and Western Hemispheres at the same time!
We crashed on the boat ride home and woke up to the sun setting behind Big Ben.. I still can't believe I live here!
We spent a day at Hampton Court and saw the sun for the first time since we've been here! Obviously we had to have a photo shoot.
Oh and I am actually attending Hogwarts now! Here's my proof (on the right). On the left is Erin and I being twinners at the fireside.
Time here is so weird. I still can't wrap my mind around it. The best way I've heard one of the girls describe it is that days feel like weeks and weeks feel like days. I am absolutely in love with England and so grateful for everything I've been able to see and do here but I've got to admit my heart will always be in America. I miss it and all of you!
