Baby Martin || Weeks 13-15

Size of baby: Week 13 baby was the size of a lemon, week 14 was a peach, and week 15 is an orange :) When we got our ultrasound at week 15 our doctor told us our babe was the length of Ben's hand :)

Movement: I haven't felt any movements yet but baby is definitely very active in there! At our ultrasound our little peanut was having a major dance party! Or was warming up for a run like daddy :)

Cravings: This has become much more random! Now that I'm past the worst of the sickness (hopefully!) I'm eating all the time to keep my tummy happy. Cravings have included pickles, mexican food, and meatballs haha. Mainly, I just want meaty, hearty meals all the time.

Miss anything: SANDWICHES. This whole no cold lunchmeat for pregnant ladies thing is not cool.

Random: As soon as the second trimester hit my tummy started growing and hasn't stopped. I've heard that one morning during pregnancy you'll wake up and you've suddenly 'popped.' That was definitely true for me right at the week 14 mark when we moved to St. George. I started showing a little when we got here and then suddenly my tummy just grew and grew! My mom is in shock every day that I'm literally bigger than the last haha and Ben was convinced we were having twins until our 15 week ultrasound. Thankfully, I haven't gained much weight, my body is just stretching and growing with baby!

Best moment of the week(s): OUR SECOND ULTRASOUND!! :) We had our first appointment with our St. George OB this week and had a surprise ultrasound! Baby is SO much bigger than the last time we got to see him/her. It was so fun to see a little baby squirming around in there (the little one didn't quite look like a baby yet last time and didn't do any moving) and to know that baby is healthy! Our Dr. also told us he would tell us the gender if he could see it while doing the ultrasound but babe did not want to cooperate for that so our next appointment will be the big day! :)

Mama Martin
