{Week 16 - Week 17}
Sympathy Weight? Just kidding, he had to work very hard to even TRY and make his tummy as big as mine! ;)
Size of baby: Week 16 baby was the size of an avocado and week 17 baby's about the size of an onion!
Movement: I FELT BABY MOVE FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS WEEK!!!! It was the craziest thing. At first it felt like I had a pulse in my tummy but then it wasn't consistent like a pulse. When I felt it a few more times I realized it was little baby flutters! I was the happiest mama. This was a few days ago and I haven't felt anything since but I'm cherishing the precious moment and dying to feel baby again!
Cravings: Basically anything I can get my hands on, haha. I'm pretty much hungry all the time and my tummy isn't happy unless I'm eating ALL. THE. TIME. I've continued to crave hearty, meaty meals and I can eat them at almost any hour of the day.
Miss anything: Being able to ride roller coasters. Ha! Random, I know, but I've been DYING to go to Disneyland (my favorite place on Earth... yes, I am a child at heart) since I got home from my mission a year ago. Poor Ben hears me begging to go at least weekly. And now my parents are going in a couple weeks!! Without us! And they would be taking us with them if I weren't preggo! Okay my rant is over now. I still love you, baby, and can't wait for our many Disneyland adventures when you arrive.
Random: People have started staring at my tummy when I wear tight shirts/dresses. I totally don't blame them because I subconsciously stare at pregnant ladies too but it makes me feel so self conscious because I feel like I'm at the stage where they're trying to decide if I'm pregnant or just chubby. There is a baby in there, I promise!
Best moment of the week(s): I already mentioned this but it definitely was the best moment: feeling baby move!! It was so nice to have a little reminder that there actually is a little baby in there! And it reminded me what a miracle that is! Seriously, how amazing/crazy is it that our bodies can grow humans?? I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father for giving me such a sacred privilege.
