little miss | week 30

No sympathy weight on this handsome hubby!

Size of baby: One app says a zucchini and another says a platypus, which I feel like is way bigger than a zucchini haha, so we'll just say she's still growing! :)

Movement: Our little mover is getting bigger and stronger. Up until this point, when she moved it just looked like I got a little jab from the inside of my tummy. Now when she moves, my whole tummy moves! It's the CRAZIEST thing to watch. We also discovered from watching American Idol that she likes rock music :)

Looking forward to: Dressing her up in all of the adorable outfits she got at her baby shower! This little girl is so spoiled (and stylish) already! I should have taken a picture of the mountain of clothes that she got from her shower haha she's already taking after her mama ;)

Random: This past week we had lots of family in town for spring break/the baby shower! It was so much fun! My niece and nephew have become pretty fascinated with my tummy now that it's big and they know they have a cousin inside haha so all of my random stories this week are from them :) Maliya, age 4, asks me every couple of hours if the baby is 'still in there.' She then proceeds to ask whatever questions pop into her mind. One of my favorite conversations:
M: How will you put on your jammies??
Me: Just like I always do!
M: What if the baby falls out?!
Me: The baby is in my tummy, not my shirt!
M: Oh.... did Jesus put her in there??
Me: ..... yep! :)
M: Wow, when did you go to Heaven??

If that's not the most precious conversation ever, I don't know what is! :)

Now one from her brother, Cole, age 5 and 11/12ths (according to him) :)
C: I thought of a name for your baby!
Me: What?!
C: Minnie! Like Minnie Mouse but you don't have to do the Mouse part.
Me: So Minnie Martin?
C: Sure (I don't think he knows thats our last name haha). And when my mom has a boy baby (no she's not pregnant haha) she can name him Mickey. Then they will be cousins and they will be Minnie and Mickey! But they'll have to get married because I'm pretty sure Minnie and Mickey live together.

I never want these kiddos to leave! They keep me laughing :) And no, little miss will not be marrying any future cousins ;)

Best moment of the week: Definitely my baby shower!! My mama and sisters were so sweet to throw me the best shower, even though they all live out of town and have busy lives themselves! It was so fun to get together with so many people that I love (friends, family, and ward members) and celebrate this baby girl. We ate delicious refreshments, played fun games, and oohed and awed over the adorable gifts girlfriend got! It was so fun and I couldn't have asked for a better day! One of the best parts was probably that my best friends from high school stayed after and we got to catch up (it had been WAY too long!) while we watched my nieces and nephews have a dance party :) Baby girl and I (and Ben!) are so blessed!!

Actually, there were two best moments (or days) this week, I just forgot that all of this happened in the same week! This Tuesday was my birthday!! It was my first married birthday and my first pregnant birthday :) I taught my last class of this session of the School of Life, Ben took me to Pizza Factory and they made me a pizza in the shape of 22, we got a free shake at Del Taco, I studied for my finals, and we had my favorite dinner and dessert with my family! The best part of the whole day was the present that Ben gave me. He framed and labeled our ultrasound pictures and I wish I had taken a picture to upload! He is SO thoughtful and the best gift giver. He literally brings me to tears with every gift he gives me because he is just SO SWEET. I am one spoiled mama! Can't wait for many birthdays with Ben and baby girl to come :)
