THE BIG REVEAL

GUYS! The day has finally come for the GRAND OPENING of......................

That's right! The Simply Happy Baby company has officially launched and is open for business!!!
check it out here

Go now!! Then come back if you want and read the story behind the business :)

So, you want to know how Ben and I got into the baby business? Well that is a great question, haha. It was certainly not something either of us ever planned on! It kind of happened upon us which is what makes it so wonderful and exciting.
It all started with Shark Tank, as I've mentioned before. Watching Shark Tank literally every night really got our creative/entrepreneurial juices flowing. We figured that if we were going to start a business, now would be the time to do it! So we started brainstorming. During this time I was spending copious amounts of time on Pinterest daydreaming about all things baby girl and planning out the perfect nursery/nursing cover/car seat cover/ diaper bag/ newborn pictures/ and, of course, outfit to wear home from the hospital. I found a couple onesies that said Hello World and I absolutely fell in love with them. I knew that's what I wanted our baby girl to wear home from the hospital. Too cute. I started looking into buying one but the only place I could find them was on Etsy and they were upwards of $30, and that was before shipping. Seriously?? Sorry baby girl, not happening. Luckily, my amazing mom suggested that we could make our own (because she is a seamstress/all things creative and artistic genius, not kidding).
That's when it hit us: I'm sure I'm not the only mama who plans and dreams about what her baby will wear when he or she is first born. And I'm certainly not the only mom who doesn't want to spend $30 on a onesie. And, Simply Happy Baby was officially "born".
(*Due credit here goes to my mom who was the inspiration behind all of this! Also to the Boulevard Home Furnishing, as we were sitting in their parking lot when this stroke of genius occurred).

As we began researching our onesie idea, we continued to work on projects for our own baby girl. This is where the next inspiration came. While researching what type of nursing cover I wanted I was not happy with a lot of the options because they just really didn't provide great coverage and didn't have great reviews. Then, I stumbled upon the multi use nursing/car seat cover. It can also be used as an infinity scarf or a shopping cart seat cover, the possibilities are really endless. Genius. I was instantly sold! The reviews were all great. Full coverage for mama while nursing and for baby while in the car seat. Score. Once again, my amazing mother saved the day when she told me we could also make this. And once again, we realized this is something that every mama needs to have!

So there you have it. That is how Simply Happy Baby began. The next few weeks/months were spent researching, shopping, pattern making, and sewing, sewing, sewing! And here we are! We're launching today with our Hello World Onesies, multi-use nursing/car seat covers, and adorable felt bow headbands just because I love a baby in a bow.
We've really done our research on all of this to make the best products that we can and our goal is simply to make happy moms and babies by providing quality products that are easy to purchase and use. We are so excited to share these handmade products with happy moms and babies everywhere!
