Today was SUCH a great Sunday. Here's why..
Mom and I woke up way earlier than anyone every should on a Sunday and went to a fireside by Sister Staples. She's in the general relief society presidency and came down to do a fireside for the relief society last night. Luckily, she decided to stay and do one this morning for the young women and their mothers. She talked about being a believer, and even though it was really early, it was so good and I'm so glad we went. It was a great way to start off Sunday. After her talk, we went home and took a quick nap :) Then, at 11, we went to the 7th ward's ward conference (mom's last ward conference, so next week we can start going to our ward again for the first time this year). We got to listen to Pres. Magelby speak, which is always good. After their sacrament, Dad and I left and headed over to the 5th ward to hear Elder Morgan's homecoming talk. He did an excellent job as well. Tim Nowatzke, our amazing home teacher, came over after this and taught us. We snuck in another nap after having a nutricious dinner of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. We ended this wonderful Sunday by going to a fireside by Sister Keys. She was accidently put in a Jewish concentration camp, and we got to hear her story. It was amazing, and it was the perfect way to top off this spiritual day! I didn't get to the homework I was planning on, but I think my time was much more well spent :) I'm so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
