Okay, so I know I haven't blogged forever and I have a TON to catch up on. So sorry these next few posts are belated and won't be very detailed.
March 5:
Me and Meg along with a few members of Ryan's family ran the lake to lake 50 mile race! The race started at Gunlock and went to Sand Hollow, it was insane. To say I was pretty nervous about the race would be a major understatement. We started at 8 a.m. and finished at 5 pm (our time was 9 hours). I would be lying if I didn't say it was really hard, but I'm so glad we did it! Finishing the race was such an awesome accomplishment. I'm so proud of my whole time, and I'm so grateful I got to run this race!
Here are a few things I learned:
- 5 Hour Energy is one of the best things ever created. That stuff WORKS, ask Meg.
- Heat rub ointment (similar to Icyhot) does NOT make good lip balm
- Spandex are NOT a smart idea to run in
- Most importantly, I can do hard things!
| Meg and I somehow still standing after completing both of our legs, go us! |
| our Number One team at the finish line! |
