This week was the last week of school! I CAN'T even believe it; I survived my junior year. Even though the last week is usually the easiest and we pretty much don't do anything in any class, I think this was the busiest week of my whole year. Seriously, it was crazy. I had lots of lasts and firsts this week and I can't wait for this next year of my life that is probably going to be this crazy every day. It all started last Sunday when Tay, Bri, and I went to our good pal Jared's farewell. So weird that we have friends leaving on missions.
The rest of the week went something like this:
- Senior testimony meeting (new seminary council was lucky enough to get to attend this at 6 in the morning :))
- Seminary talent show buffet
- I found out I'm the new FCCLA president! And I got to announce my new council! I'm so excited for my council, we're already all friends and this year is going to be great.
- I also found out I'm a student ambassador!
- I got my first job! I now work at Hollister :)
- Got my first speeding ticket :( So glad that's where I'll be spending my first paycheck. ha.
- Taught a lesson to my first graders! My lesson was really fun, we read a book and talked about dreams, then I had the kids write and draw about their dreams. I got some pretty creative responses :) And my teacher didn't show up who was supposed to critique me, so my lesson was 100 times less stressful.
- Went to the What Women Want expo with my mom and sisters, our biannual tradition.
- Went to the midnight showing of Pirates with Jarrod and Tay. Beside the fact I was fighting soo hard to stay awake, it was a pretty good movie. I never know what's going on half the time in pirates of the carribbean though ha.
- Spent lots of time in the sem building with the new sem council. I love them already, this year is going to be so great. We started setting up our office, mini fridge and all. Good times are definitely yet to come in there.
- Restitution. Bleh.
- Babysat my cutest nephews in the world. Then spent the night watching movies and eating fro yo with their awesome parents.
- Presented the SOLF scholarship at Pine View's awards ceremony.
- Had a Great Gatsby party in Lenore's class. Then took a few finals.
- Disected a baby pig. Cried.
Okay you get the idea; this list is already giant and I could probably go on for hours about this insane week. Thank goodness its Summer :)
My Gatsby outfit :) It was actually my great grandma's straight from the 1920's--so cool and vintage.
Gatsby Party :) Gotta love these cute flapper girls!
My kids! How adorable are they? They hugged me for about five minutes when I had to leave and almost knocked me over.
Such a good teacher, right? Just look how intrigued the kids are :)
