Always a good choice.
I had the best weekend and let me tell you why.. My brother who lives in Montana came home too! This is the last time I'll see him for 6 months--growing up is hard. It was Mandi's birthday so we did lots of celebrating. We went out to lunch at George's (try it), went to the town Halloween Carnival, ate the most delicious dinner and dessert we could have imagined (my favorite part was the apple pie ice cream), and of course opened presents. I love my family so much and am so blessed to be in such a good one. Sunday was my nephew's primary program and oh my it was the cutest thing I've ever seen. He was standing in the very front making binoculars with his hands and waving at me and my mom the whole time. His little brother passed out on my dad and was snoring through the whole thing--also extremely cute. I was literally crying from all of the cuteness. Primary programs get me every time. It's no wonder Christ tells us to be more childlike.
My friends are pretty great too. Des did my hair and went to Curtis Bulloch's farewell with me. It was honestly one of the most powerful farewells I've been to. Uruguay is in for a treat and some serious spirituality.
Tay and I hit up the farmer's markets and found some of the world's cutest dogs. We headed home together last night. Car rides with the two of us are always a good time. We jammed to christmas music, thought up some brilliant halloween costumes, and even stopped in Beaver at Henny Penny's Chicken and Dairy for some ice cream.
All in all it was a top notch weekend. I absolutely love St. George and forgot how much I miss its perfect weather. Good thing I'll be back in two weeks.
The Halloween Carnival was a success for the tiny ninja and Octonaut.
My contribution to our Halloween meal.
I'm tellin you, Henny Penny's Chicken and Dairy is where it's at. Next time you're in Beaver, go. I would tell you where it is but I have no idea.. Luckily it only takes about five minutes to drive through the entire town.
