Thanksgiving was splendid. I'll give it it's own post later. Maybe. If I get around to it.
Anyway, this week all my roommates got back to living under the same roof! So, Monday night we had to go out to dinner to celebrate (okay maybe we had zero food in our apartment). On our way we found a Christmas Tree lot and obviously had to stop. You know we didn't come home empty handed. After a few more stops for decorations, we were on our way home, blasting Christmas music and the heater because we had to put the top down on T's convertible bug to make our tree fit. When we got home was when things really got festive. Christmas pajamas were put on, Christmas music was blasted, and the apartment was literally turned into a winter wonderland. I love it and would leave it up all year if I could.
I wasn't expecting the rest of the week to top Monday night because let's be honest, I'm a sucker for Christmas, and I had a ton of homework ahead of me. Then Wednesday came along and somehow this week I was expecting to be pretty mediocre, if not difficult, turned into a top notch week. What happened was it ended up being a girls night. Need I say more? I went to Tucano's with my four best friends, ate more than a normal person should eat in a week, danced around the restaurant with maracas for my "birthday", and even cried (happy tears) because my friends are just that great. I seriously am so lucky to have the friends that I do and do not know what in the world I would do without any one of them!
P.S. Riverwoods is magical at Christmastime. Go now.
I really truly hope your week has been as surprisingly good as mine!
