My roommate Julia is really talented and is in the BYU Symphony Orchestra. T and I went to her concert the other night and it was splendid. But you know what? It made me miss the violin so very much. I haven't played since I moved to Provo and that's kind of tragic in my opinion. I have been craving playing ever since and can't wait to go home this weekend so I can.
It amazes me how powerful music is. A girl was bearing her testimony about music at church on Sunday and talked about how music speaks straight to your heart whereas words go straight to your head. It's so true. Music is so emotional. I'm amazed by it and I love it.
The point of this post? It's goal setting time. Next summer I'm going to take a few classes, but mainly focus on playing the violin. After polishing up my skills all summer, I'm going to try out for one of the orchestras at school. Mark my words.
