1. Spend most of your time sitting on the ice when your skating, like me? Disney on ice is a great alternative.
2. In Southern Utah? Christmas in the Canyon at Tuacahn is a gem. The Live Nativity is a must.
3.Authentic carolers are always joyful. As is visiting the elderly, or any kind of service.
4. Don't be scared of medieval dances, they're a whole bunch of fun, and who doesn't love dressing up? Any holiday dances or parties will do, though.
5. Carriage rides are a great choice--no doubt.
6. Temple Square. Enough said.
7. Snow angels are a million times better than snowmen.
8. If it snows, go outside! Bundle up, drink some hot cocoa, and be grateful it feels like Christmas where you live.
9. Thanksgiving Point--light show, real reindeer, Christmas trees, Santa, hot chocolate, and if you get lucky it might even snow.
10. Go to church! Christmas songs and lessons about the Christmas story are always good ways to remember the Christmas Spirit. Also, sing in your church choir! Even if you and your roommates are the only ones who show up.
11. Christmas tree lots and light festivals are two of my personal favorites.
