I talked a little bit about my baby shower in my last post but my sister just sent me the pictures she took so I figured it was appropriate to dedicate an entire post to the shower :) Get ready for more details and, of course, a picture overload!
When my sisters and I traveled to Idaho with our parents for our grandpa's funeral in January we set a date for my baby shower-- April 9th. At the time that felt like forever away! Ben and I registered shortly after that conversation so that my sisters could decide what they wanted to get for us. Once again, as we registered months in advance, it felt like the shower would never actually come.
Then I blinked. Haha, really though, the week of the shower came SO quickly!! Before I knew it it was my birthday, the shower was a few days away, and our family started pouring into town! Mandi came the weekend before the shower, Lyn's family came the wednesday before the shower, my cousin Becky and her cute girls came that Thursday, and Meg and her kiddos came Friday! We had a full, crazy house and I loved every minute of it!! I was even able to somehow finish all of my finals in the same week :)
We spent the week playing and preparing and before we knew it it was Saturday and time for our guests to come! We sent the boys off with 7 kiddos and wished them luck, haha. It just happened to start pouring rain at exactly the time of the shower (ironic, especially in St George) so our guests were 'showered' right along with me ;) Luckily that didn't stop them from coming and we had a great turn out. Getting together with all of the women in my life I love most was the best part of all! Now I'll document the party through pictures :)
We had quite the time making those poofy tissue paper balls--they are not as easy as they look!! But they turned out adorable :)
My shower was in the morning so we stuck to fruit and (delicious) dip, mini muffins, and a few truffles because you just can't have a party without chocolate :)
The beautiful Jones girls! I'm SO grateful they could come and spend the weekend with us!
My beautiful mama!
My wonderful sisters and mama did SO much work to put everything together! I'm so grateful to call them mine!
Sisters! Even though some people would never guess it :)
Brielle came all the way down from Provo and MADE MY DAY! I love her!
I love the Evans!!
Mandi planned some really fun games like baby girl bingo, name that song (baby version), and a fun poem game!
Everyone who came was SO generous and showered baby girl and I with so much love! Little girlfriend basically got a full on wardrobe and I'm DYING for her to get here more than ever so that she can wear all of her adorable clothes!
I have the best friends!
These little cousins were the cutest best friends all week!
Like I said, I have the best friends :) They stayed after everyone else left and we had some much needed time to catch up while my nieces and nephews entertained us with a dance party :)
This cutie even showed up at the end :)
I just really can't express my gratitude enough for everyone who came and made this wonderful day possible! I feel so blessed to be this little girl's mama and celebrating her with so many wonderful women made me even more anxious for her to get her! She is one lucky girl to already be loved by so many!
