The Heart of Life.

There's always been one man who is there for me no matter what. Through the good times and bad I turn to him and find solace. Don't believe me? Check out my 2010 blog post about this perfect man here.
If you know me at all you know I'm talking about the wonderful John Clayton Mayer. Today just happens to be John's birthday. How am I celebrating? Not just anyone gets a post dedicated to them on my blog, you guys. John is so dear to me, though, that I'm sporting my Heart of Life T Shirt and baking a cake.
Aren't convinced of John's greatness yet? Check out this profound quote:
“High School is like a spork: it's a crappy spoon and a crappy fork, so in the end it's just plain useless.”
John Mayer
Just kidding, but John obviously felt the same way about high school as I did. We understand each other. Haha, here's the real gem:
“Someday, everything will make perfect sense. So for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears, be strong and keep reminding your self that everything happens for a reason.”
John Mayer
If you don't love him as much as I do yet, listen to a few of my favorites by him: The Heart of Life, The Edge of Desire, Stop This Train, and off his newest album--Walt Grace's Submarine Test January 1967.
If you still don't, don't bother ever talking to me again.
Here's to the Heartbreak Kid.
